Manage Time Off Requests
When an employee submits a request for time off, you receive a notification. This notification includes the details of the request, including the employee’s primary restaurant (if set). The notification also includes a link you can use to approve or decline the request.
You also have the option to access the Time Off Request screen within LiveIQ, review the information, and decide whether to accept or decline the request.
The information you can use includes the date when the request was submitted, name of the employee, employee role, length of time off requested, and the employee’s main restaurant (if set). The information also includes any extra text that the employee has entered.
The Time Off Request screen contains two sections. One section is for pending requests and the other is for amended requests.
In the Amended Time Off Requests section, the Status column indicates whether the amendment is a modification of the original request or a cancellation.

If the request is a modification, the top line displays the time off request as it was originally approved, with any modified values highlighted in red text. The new values appear in green text below the modified values. In the example screen, the first two rows are modifications.

If the request is a cancellation, all values are displayed in red text. In the example screen, the third row is a cancellation.
Managers can approve or decline the amended requests but they cannot approve a time off request if it clashes with another event for the employee.

If the manager approves the amendment, LiveIQ updates the event as requested.

If the manager declines the amendment, LiveIQ retains the original event.
Once the manager has approved or declined the amended request, LiveIQ notifies the employee.

Click the link in your notification or click LiveIQ Labor > Employees > Time Off Requests.

To approve or decline a request, click the or at the end of the row.

Click Save.
LiveIQ notifies the employee of your decision.
If you approve the request, LiveIQ adds the time off to the Employee Calendar.
